In all published work and presentations, please acknowledge the HFC as either the source or the intermediary of the data. When you download data, you should note the date for future reference. If a publisher requires another citation format, or for some reason you are forced to adhere to other formats, please make sure that the citation includes the full name of the database, the full names of both institutional data providers, and the complete HFC internet address.
In cases when the indicator downloaded from the HFC stems solely or predominantly from a single source, it is appropriate to cite the original source of the data first, and to acknowledge the HFC as the intermediary. A list of data sources is provided both for the entire HFC and for each individual country. It is the user's responsibility to give proper credit to the organizations and individuals whose data are contained in this database.
